Welcome

Riad La Petite Maison – Fes

Welcome to Riad La Petite Maison, a small and charming riad in the heart of Fes. With five characterful rooms, we offer an intimate and authentic place to relax and discover the magic of the old city.

Located just a five-minute walk from the lively medina, La Petite Maison is a peaceful oasis away from the activity of the streets. As you step inside, you leave the city behind and enter a warm and serene setting, surrounded by Moroccan charm and tranquillity.

From our beautiful rooftop terrace, enjoy lovely views over the old medina, its characteristic rooftops and minarets. It is a wonderful place to start the day with breakfast, enjoy the sunshine, or watch the sun slowly set over Fes.

Riad La Petite Maison is your peaceful home in Fes — close to the energy of the old medina, yet far enough away to enjoy quiet, comfort and the authentic charm of Morocco.

Our story

La Petite Maison is, as its name suggests, a house on a human scale: an old medina home, patiently restored with the craftsmanship of Fes. The zellige was relaid tile by tile, the cedar ceilings repainted by hand, the walls finished in traditional tadelakt, polished with stone and black soap.

We deliberately keep only a few rooms — four rooms and one suite — so every stay stays personal. Here we know your name, we move breakfast to suit you, and we draw you a map in a notebook so you don’t get lost in the alleys.

Just a five-minute walk from the lively medina and a short stroll from Rcif square, the riad is a genuine oasis of calm, away from the activity of the streets.

Our philosophy

We believe a good stay in Fes rests on three simple things: silence at night, faultless bedding, and hosts who know their city. Everything else — mint tea on arrival, seasonal fruit, the right addresses — follows naturally.

As you step inside, you leave the city behind and enter a warm, serene setting, surrounded by Moroccan charm and quiet.

Authenticity

Materials and craft that are wholly of Fes: zellige, tadelakt, cedar, brass, wrought iron.

Calm

Only five rooms, around a courtyard with a fountain. You fall asleep in silence.

Location

A five-minute walk from the medina and Rcif square; transfer arranged to the door.

Care

Homemade breakfast, dinners on request, trusted guides and drivers.

The rooftop terrace

From our beautiful rooftop terrace, enjoy lovely views over the old medina, its characteristic rooftops and minarets. It is the perfect place to start the day over breakfast, catch the afternoon sun, or watch it set slowly over Fes.

At dusk the call to prayer echoes from one minaret to the next and the medina lights up — a moment our guests do not forget.

Breakfast

Every morning a homemade Moroccan breakfast is served on the terrace or in the courtyard: warm msemen and baghrir, wholemeal bread, olive oil and amlou, homemade jams, seasonal fruit, eggs, mint tea and coffee. With a day’s notice we also prepare dinner.
