The Marrakech Room opens straight onto the riad’s courtyard through a tall carved wooden door, crowned by an arched stained-glass window that glows blue, green and amber. Ochre tadelakt walls, a traditional wooden ceiling and wall lanterns fill the room with warm, golden light, while the multicoloured zellige floor and the black-and-white zellige wainscot show the craft of the Fes master artisans. The double bed, dressed in white linen, faces an inviting sitting corner: a rattan armchair with a red cushion, a brass tray table and a soft rug. A built-in alcove serves as wardrobe and shelving, with a mini fridge, and air conditioning keeps the room comfortable in every season. The private bathroom carries the same spirit: a tadelakt basin, a round brass-rimmed mirror, a green-and-white zellige floor and a spacious walk-in rain shower lined with white zellige. The Marrakech Room sleeps one or two guests. Homemade Moroccan breakfast is included, and the riad’s rooftop terrace awaits you for tea at sunset.
