Fes airport to the medina: all the options
Fes-Saiss airport (code FEZ) is about 15 km south of the city, a 15–25 minute drive depending on traffic. The ONCF train station is in town, roughly fifteen minutes from the medina.

The riad’s private transfer
The simplest option: the riad arranges a car that waits at arrivals with your name, drops you at Bab Rcif, and a porter carries the bags to the door. Book ahead and give your flight number.
Taxi at the airport
Grand taxis wait outside the terminal. The fare to the medina is usually posted; agree the price before you get in. The taxi cannot enter the medina and will leave you at the nearest gate.
From Fes train station
If you arrive by train from Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakech or Tangier, a petit taxi links the station to the medina in about fifteen minutes. Again, you arrive at a gate and continue on foot.
Luggage and lanes
Bring a bag you can carry or wheel over uneven cobbles. The riad’s porter service handles the last stretch; tell us how many cases when you book.
